Benefits of IMS:-
Inventory Management System (IMS) is an integrated online system. User Section and Stores have been connected each other through IMS. All transactions can be monitored online. Inventory Management System has been implemented for receipt and issue of items from Stores & Stationery. It is basically ERP system. Assets can be viewed / monitored at anytime from anywhere.
Inventory control may be defined as a set of policies and procedures by which an organisation determines what materials it should hold in stock and the quantities of each that it should carry.
To log in to IMS, you must have an authorized username and password. Do not share your Login ID and Password with others. The password is your own signature to authenticate a document.
To log in to IMS, perform the following steps:-
(a) Click on the ZSIIMS icon on ZSI web site (https://zsi.gov.in). The IMS Logon screen will open.
(b) Enter the Login ID and Password.
Note: The password is case-sensitive.
(c) Click on Sign in. The Main Menu screen will open. Your username will appear in the status bar.
(a) Enter the Login ID and Password
(b) Click on Change Password Menu.
(c) New Password can be created. Password will be sent to registered e-mail.
To register a Demand, perform the following steps:
(a) Select Manage Request --> New Inventory Request --> Select Category
(b) Category has four tabs viz. Item type, Item Name, Quantity and Remarks. Choose from tabs as per your requirement.
(c) Click on submit button to submit New Inventory Request.
To view a Demand, perform the following steps:
(a) Select MIS Reports
(b) Click on Requests Summary
Demand can only be amended if demand has not been processed.
